Challenge:
• Improve existing and create new feature for the bulk Recognition tool, based on customer feedback
Customers asked for a way to send Recognitions to large groups of employees at one time, easily see how much that Recognition was worth, and be able to send from a user (e.g., the CEO), not the company. Prior to this new feature build, Customer Support needed to manually create these large Recognitions through a backend hack - a process that was time-consuming and tedious.
Process
In close collaboration with PM:
• Reviewed submitted feedback to understand what customers were asking for
• Collaborated with members of the CS team to understand customer requirements and history
• Ideated on what new feature ideas would have the biggest impact
• Went through several rounds of designs to ensure flow was just right
• Beta-tested a working prototype with current customers to check for any friction

Key successes:
• Company admin now able to send Recognitions to up to 1,000 employees at one time
• Save as draft provides an opportunity to start the process today and complete all details at a later time
• Scheduling feature allows for sending on a desired date up to a year in advance
• Preview feature shows creator exactly how the Recognition will look
• Calculator tool informs admin of exact value
• Table view shows the history of sent bulk Recognitions and any currently scheduled to be sent
• Save as draft provides an opportunity to start the process today and complete all details at a later time

• We were able to include our more accessible-friendly Core Value selection pills in a fast-follow update
• This selection interface was redesigned with accessibility in mind after a series of surveys and A/B testing

• Able to satisfy customer requests for an easier way to mass-Recognize employees

• Option to schedule Recognition sent later today or up to one year from now
• Preview card shows admin exactly how Recognition will appear in company Activity Feed

• Easily digest the history of sent Recognitions and if any errors were encountered during the send process
• See Recognitions scheduled to be sent in the future and the date (tooltip) on which they will send
